Sardars on Indian screen deconstructed thanks to ROCKET SINGH: SALESMAN OF THE YEAR
Ranbir Kapoor apart from making his mother and the grandmother proud for playing the role of a Sikh has also done the community pride, more so on the Indian silver screen, as till date Sardars were not presented in a very positive light. A stereotype notion about a community has broken and it would go a long way in inspiring other actors as well to bring the Sikhs into the mainstream. On the occasion of ROCKET SINGH: SALESMAN OF THE YEAR, it indeed is an opportunity to see how the Sikhs as they have been portrayed on the silver screen have evolved.
